The Two Faces of Poker

product image 2121 The Two Faces of Poker Loving poker and actually playing poker all the time are two different things. The former is a penchant for the idea of poker as a game while the latter is an indication that the lover is actually a poker player who enjoys regular hours in the poker table with friends or probably in a casino. But whether you merely enjoy poker as a concept or you actually love playing the game more than anything else, having at least one poker décor at home would let others know of your feelings about the game.

In a sense, the two are not really exclusive. If you love playing poker, there is probably something about the game that keeps you playing. If you merely love poker in your mind, there is also a part of you that wants to play the game some time, it’s just that you probably haven’t had the time or the poker buddies to play with or the guts to actually risk your hard-earned money for the game.

If that’s the case, the perfect poker décor for you is the Four Aces Neon Clock – 14 inch Diameter. It shows how much you wait for the time when you finally have everything that is needed for you to enjoy a poker game, and lots of it. It is a sign that someone living in the house or working in that office knows how to spend his time for fun, whether he has actualized that knowledge or hasn’t been just yet.

It is poker that binds everyone who can’t take their eyes of the neon clock and forgetting the time that they saw. It is that nostalgic feeling of the last poker game you had with friends or a longing, a day-dreaming that someday you’ll be able to play.

Time is Gold

Poker is a game of wit, endurance, strategy, and most of all, patience. Poker games could last for hours, even days. Poker players invest a lot of their time in mastering the game. They watch other poker players, they play endlessly, they talk about, dream about it, live it. The game is more of a mind game rather than skill. And because the game could last for hours, it is good to keep track of time using this beautifully designed poker clock.

product image 2123 Time is GoldThe design of the Texas Hold’em neon wall clock is attractive and the light on the face of the clock makes it easier to read even if the room is a little dark. This would be perfect in any game room. The color green would complement most common poker tables or even billiard tables. The markers on the face of the clock are poker chips, which perfectly accentuates the clock. The clock has a classic design and would fit in typical game room designs or decors.

Most game rooms are a bit dark. The double ring of neon would illuminate any room, making it easier for the players to check out the time. The chrome finish molded resin housing makes the clock durable compared to plastic housings. Aside from aesthetics, you are also assured of function. The quartz mechanism guarantees that the time is accurate so you won’t skip a beat. The clock is also battery operated so it is economical and does not consume electricity.

So, if you want to keep track of the time of your games, this clock would be perfect. After all, in poker, time is really gold.

Has His Luck Changed?

Posted by admin | Poker Supplies, poker clocks | Thursday 4 June 2009 3:53 am

My Uncle Jim is probably the worst poker player in history. No wait, even before history began! And yet even though he knows he is rubbish he still insists on losing every weekend with his buddies.

product image 2121 Has His Luck Changed? It was his birthday coming up and we didn’t know what to get him. He had recently converted the back of his garage to a games room. He had a poker table, some arcade machines, the lot. So we decided to buy him a poker clock. But it was finding the right one. We wanted one that said loser on it but apparently they don’t have much call for offensive clocks so we went with the four aces neon clock (because we knew he would never get four aces in a million years)! But then something strange happened. He put the clock up and didn’t think anything about it. He played that weekend with his usual buddies and his luck had changed. He actually won a hand! It was probably the first time he had won in years. They thought it was a fluke and vowed to take his money back off him the next week. But the same thing happened again. He began winning more and more. His buddies couldn’t believe it. He had won more times in one night than he had done his whole life! My uncle said it must have been the lucky clock because he hadn’t won anything until he put that up. It took his poker buddies 7 weeks to realize that it wasn’t the lucky clock at all but some secret mirrors he had put up in his new room! What a cheat!
