Predation is Moral Where Risk-taking is Deed

product image 1727 Predation is Moral Where Risk taking is DeedHow important is competition? If that would be answered pragmatically, virtually everyone would affirm that it is all too important one wouldn’t survive the world without the cunning that competitions in life teaches as a person grow up. In fact, it would seem to certain people that competition is the very essence of the growth of our society. Even economists would second such commonsensical response and would go to great lengths to defend these tradition-bound judgments as the best deed one could do to advance the current economic system.

But, the irony comes in when we start to think that with such pronouncements coming from economists, themselves trained with the hard sciences, the very essence of curiosity is defeated and thrown into the dumpsters to favor the feudal, dogmatic and muddled beliefs about intuition and the world system merely because of the lack of willpower to thoroughly discover it. Yet, everyone who finished elementary education would easily recognize the words commensalism, parasitism, mutualism, and predation—topics  discussed in symbiotic relationships in the ecosystem—and relate it to how people live with each other under the dictates of the social relationships imposed none other by the ruling elite.

Before, when people hear the word predation, they immediately think of it as opportunistic, the reason why tax collectors in the olden times are despised. Today, when one preys on another, he’s considered to be in a rightful quest to success legitimized by his very recognition of the cunning the society requires one of. In poker, when one flaunts his Copag playing cards laid down on poker tables against a cheap deck by a friend, it is considered a gesture of friendship that everyone almost automatically requires themselves to laugh without even thinking Copag Single Deck Blue Poker Size Jumbo Index are made not to be used time and time but only as decoration. Such injustice has been constructed in our minds for us to absorb all the dogmatic assumptions the free market use to feed the ruling elites.

How Important is the Brand Name?

Posted by admin | Playing Cards | Thursday 26 November 2009 2:20 pm

product image 1753 How Important is the Brand Name?As a very curious kid growing up, you always ask questions that cannot simple be answered even by your parents. There are a lot of those questions. Sometimes related to how you were created, sometimes regarding to your new discoveries with the environment you are trying to adapt to. But most of them are questions so simple older people get bemused and find it difficult to be answered. One of them is the importance of a name.

So when a kid asks: “why is my name like this.” A mother or a father would easily point out the reason and the origin of the name. Sure it’s easy but what irks older people is how simple questions lengthen and end up almost always in philosophical questions never confronted in parenting courses.

“So who named the Gemaco playing cards as Gemaco when it’s such an unusual name?” Of course, curious kids don’t just get satisfied by learning petty stuff about them. They want to relate themselves to the much bigger world they would soon fuse into. And certainly, they would have difficulty in familiarizing themselves with the different names given to poker hands.

This is where the importance of quality-made cards and poker tables come into picture. Of course, kids don’t just get familiar to things that easy. They may recognize what things look like but still, they never fail to ask why they are such and such. If a thing is all too strange for them, their curiosity might give up on it easily. But if the thing is friendly, then most probably your kid would get along with it fast as a comet.

How friendly? GEMACO 100% Plastic Classic Jumbo Poker 2 Deck Setup is too friendly, your kids would want you to buy it just by hearing its name!

Risk-Taking Means Charity in the Free Market Lingo?

Posted by admin | Poker Supplies | Wednesday 25 November 2009 2:13 pm

product image 2063 Risk Taking Means Charity in the Free Market Lingo? There is a crisis looming above our heads yet most people are bedazzled by the appearance it cloaks itself. We experience this crisis every time we shake our pockets, or whenever we think of what food should be cooked for tomorrow’s breakfast. This crisis is not only of faith, of practice, but also of the prerequisite viewpoint or rather the social outlook structured in our minds.

This crisis is nothing else but the crisis of the free market where everyone is made to believe that risk-taking is essential in one’s morality and that it feeds the growth of the self, and consequently, of the whole social system. But the illusions served to people by the establishment elites are all too full of promises. First and foremost, it is too idealistic. It does not give enough regard to the real structure of society.

Second, it certainly fails in a lot of analogies that could be thought of. For example, in gambling, it is an obvious fact that risk-taking assumes the position of strategy in the game. In poker, one doesn’t have any more choices but to rely on sheer luck. Compared to baseball where baseball accessories help the player to improve his game, poker accessories doesn’t deliver and only serve the superficial.

So what could be the use of a Black Nylon Poker Table Carrying Bag? Why should people even have poker tables? Of course, ontological questions regarding the acquisition of a product should be on top of the mind making a decision. And yet, the dogmatism that the free market promotes by preaching risk-taking as the new form of charity muddles this decision-making process.

Poker Card Covers with Dual Purpose

Posted by admin | Playing Cards, Poker Supplies, Poker Tables | Friday 20 November 2009 5:50 pm

product image 1600 Poker Card Covers with Dual PurposeNewbie poker players might not be aware of the phrase “All in!” just yet. For their benefit, the phrase is usually exclaimed by the player who is ready to bet all his chips in during a game of Hold’em Poker. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that the player is holding the winning cards. Sometimes, he only uses it as a strategy also known as bluffing.

You have to really be careful when your opponent starts acting confident about the cards he is holding. For someone who fails to recognize the bluff, what he would do is fold. That means that he’s no longer playing his card to avoid losing his chips. If that’s the case, the bluff went well on him and the chance to win big was lost.

When your opponent declares “All in!” you have to be reminded that the act is either a bluff or the real thing. Some players get easily nervous when the opponent does so and you shouldn’t be one of them. To remind yourself of the possible bluff, use the All in Card Guard, a type of poker card covers.

As you have probably realized by now, the All in Card Guard is not only used, well, to cover your cards so that they will not scatter on poker tables while you place them on it as you think of a strategy, get a cold beer or take a restroom break. It can also serve as a reminder that the “All in” declaration is not something to be believed in right away. Instead, you should rather think twice about the motive of the opponent. Think about his past actions and the probability that he is indeed holding the winnable card. That would help you decide whether to play or fold.

product image 2099 Best Gift to a Budding Poker PlayerA perfect gift to a newbie in poker is the Blackjack and TX Holdem 2 Sided Layout 36 x 72 inch. Any of the possible poker accessories you can find on specialty shops would do fine, too, but if you really care for your friend’s life in poker, then lure him into the game by giving him the Blackjack and TX Holdem 2 Sided Layout.

This poker layout will help him out when it comes to basic poker playing and set up. Before he gets to learn the strategies, the most important thing he should know is how poker tables work. Now there are different variations of poker that no poker player should miss or else, the strategies he would employ would miss the mark, too.

The 2 sided layout will help a beginner in that case. This particular set is really helpful because it opens up the fundamental in both Blackjack and TX Holdem—two casino games you might want to learn how to play first before firing up on the more challenging poker games.

The layout will teach you the ins and outs of Blackjack and TX Holdem. When you are done with that, you get to determine the difference between the two and how each should be treated in terms of strategies.

Good thing, the layout is big enough for you to easily imagine how the poker table would look like both for Blackjack and TX Holdem. It is also made of green felt—the usual material we see covering the poker tables of most casinos.

Your new poker buddy would certainly love you for being the most thoughtful of the bunch. Now good luck because soon, he’ll become one of your worthiest opponents.

Potential poker players like us are lucky to have poker DVDs such as DVD - Phil Hellmuth’s Million Dollar Tournament. During their time, they had to rely on their own strategies to win a poker game. That is why, only a few of them have found poker as a viable means of living. But now that books and other multimedia tools on poker is already existing, most hobbyists and enthusiasts become interested on making a career out of poker. Phil Hellmuth’s Million Dollar Tournament will try to change all that and hopefully, you’ll be fully enlightened on how a game of poker could really change your life for the better.

Need proof? How about the fact that many people are actually investing on poker books to learn poker strategies that can their time at the poker table, not just a simple pastime for them, but a means of living?

One of the books that have already made some of the world’s greatest professional poker players is the Million Dollar Hold’em – Limit Cash Games by Johnny Chan. In fact, poker tournaments for the limit hold’em are done almost every year in many parts of the globe.

Potential professional poker gamers who are currently working on a 9 to 5 job should seriously consider improving their poker games by reading self-help poker books to pave way to a full time career in professional poker.
